Second Wind exists to lead, inspire and minister to our "seasoned" members - our beloved seniors. They may be retired, approaching retirement, or simply those who enjoy spending time and learning with our seniors. Second Wind seeks to answer the question: "As a senior, how can I fulfill the role God has for me in His Kingdom, and specifically Valley Vineyard.
We identify avenues of service with and to our members. These include visiting, calling, and writing to those shut in or kept at home. We want them to know they are not forgotten, they are loved, and being prayer for.
We hold three annual event gatherings, and most include lunch. Events may be educational with guest speakers with expertise in different areas, such as advanced medical directives or wills and trusts. Other events are for food, fun and fellowship, such as our annual Laugh N' Lunch. We go on field trips, like our recent viewing art at Forest Lawn. Whatever the purpose, our gatherings are a great opportunity to enjoy new and old friends!
